The area surrounding Billabong is full of wonderful things to do and explore but below are some that we have particularly enjoyed.

Pyrenees State Forest - Wineries, Waterfall & Lookout
An ideal half day/day trip. Head out of town, west along Vinoca Road to visit a few wineries (Blue Pyrenees, Mt Avoca & Eurabbie) and explore some of the Pyrenees Ranges (Governor Rock Lookout for some spectacular views & the waterfall picnic area for a short forest walk).

St Ignatius Winery
Located 5km south of Avoca along the Sunraysia Highway. St Ignatius winery is the home of Hangmans Gully wines. They are open daily 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offer free wine tastings of their whole range of wines available for sale.

Eurabbie Estate
Located 3.5km west of Avoca along Dawson Road. Eurabbie Estate set amongst native woodland. Makers of premium table wines. we particularly love the white port.

The Olive and Lavender shop
Located at 106 High Street. The shop has olive and lavender products, great coffee and food, home made cakes, gifts and plants.
